Parkland Fusion FC

Special Olympics Alberta is very excited to launch our official partnership with Parkland Fusion FC - an emerging organization with activities currently based in the Spruce Grove & District Region seeking to provide youth soccer opportunities.

Parkland Fusion FC Mission Statement:

“Parkland Fusion FC is dedicated to cultivating a premier soccer environment where passion for the game flourishes. We are committed to ensuring that every player, coach, referee, and manager is empowered with the resources and opportunities needed to embrace the joy of soccer and to achieve their highest potential. Our focus extends beyond skill development to instill values of teamwork, integrity, and respect.

By fostering an inclusive community, we strive to make soccer accessible to all, promoting physical wellness, mental growth, and social connection.

Above all, Parkland Fusion champions the principles of sportsmanship and fair play, believing that the true spirit of soccer lies in the joy of the game and the unity it brings.”

July - August 2024, Parkland Fusion FC hosted a Summer Soccer Camp for youth with intellectual disabilities ages 5-17 in partnership with Special Olympics Alberta. The pilot program ran throughout the summer of 2024, and is projected for fall 2024/winter 2025. This initiative seeks to connect young athletes with Special Olympics by providing a safe, inclusive environment to build sport skills and long term athlete development.
