What kind of gear and equipment do I need to have for practice?

For practice:
Athletic clothing
Water bottle
Bowling shoes (most alley's will provide for the athletes, however if you have your own, you are welcome to bring them!)
Personal Bowling Ball (this may vary depending on the program, please discuss with your coaches prior to bringing your own ball)

For Competition:
All athletes and coaches must be dressed uniformly and in proper bowling attire. Such
attire includes a collared shirt, pants with a straight hemmed bottom (or skirt for females). In cases where athletes are competing in the warm summer months, hemmed shorts be allowed for
comfort and safety. Denim, sweat pants, stir-up pants, spandex, yoga pants, cargo shorts/pants and hats shall not be permitted.

Bowling Ramps are available for those who require assistance to roll the ball down the lane.

Do you need experience to participate in this sport?

No! All new and returning athletes are welcome to participate and compete in this sport. Below are some accomodations that can be made to assist athletes if necessary:
- Ramps are available for those who require assistance to roll the ball down the lane.
- For those who require a wheelchair, the athlete can bowl from their wheelchair, from another chair, or from a self-supporting position.
- An athlete with a visual impairment may have their coach give them pre-delivery assistance. The coach may properly align the athlete, but can not assist in the delivery of the ball.

How do you qualify for a competition in this sport?

Once you have competed in a local qualifier event, in order to attend a provincial/national level competition, your local affiliate will take the average of your most recent 21 games (minimum) from your official League Record Sheet.

What happens if there is inclement weather?

Weather cancellations are determined on the day of the program. If severe weather is forecasted during program time, the program will typically be cancelled (snowstorms, extreme cold warnings, etc.)
